Scholarship application FAQs
Review these answers before submitting your application. They are designed to help applicants avoid incomplete submissions and upload the correct materials.
What is the application deadline?
The application deadline for the 2026–2027 academic year is August 1, 2026 at 9:59 pm EST. Applications should be submitted by the deadline with all required materials included.
Who is eligible to apply?
The scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students with demonstrated academic achievement and financial need.
How do I choose my essay prompt?
Section 5 lists four essay prompts. Select the one that best fits your experience and respond only to that prompt.
Can I respond to more than one prompt?
No. To keep the review process consistent, applicants should choose one prompt and respond only to that prompt.
What documents are required?
Required application materials are:
- Academic transcript
- Most recent resume
- Letter of recommendation, or confirmation that it will be sent separately
- Copy of financial aid award letter
- Essay response to your selected prompt, pasted into the form and uploaded as a separate Word or PDF document
What are the essay requirements?
Choose one of the four essay prompts, paste your response into the form, and upload the essay as a separate Word or PDF document. The essay should be 250–350 words.
Can I upload documents from my phone?
Yes. The upload fields are mobile-friendly. Depending on your phone and browser, you may upload an existing file, select a file from cloud storage, or take a photo of a document. Make sure any photo is clear, well-lit, and readable.
